A note from our district...
ELA Report Card
Dear Families:
As shared at Back to School Night, we are piloting new ELA instructional materials in grades K-5. This resource offers a rigorous, knowledge building approach for our learners, engaging students in reading, writing, listening and speaking. While our commitment to addressing essential ELA standards has not changed, the order and manner in which standards are assessed in this pilot may be different than in past years. As such, you may not see a reported measure for every ELA standard on your child’s report card. Please also refer to the comments provided by your child’s teacher, as well as ongoing communication and conferencing, regarding your child’s progress in ELA. Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
Report Cards
Your child's report card will be coming home on Friday. Please keep all the contents and return the signed envelope with your child. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions or concerns.
Cold Weather
Now that we are getting into colder weather patterns, please check the weather so that your child has the necessary clothing--boots (when there is snow on the ground), hats, coats, and gloves/mittens--to be going out for recess. We do go out most days unless it is raining or below zero wind chills!
Please check out the Music Room Webpage:

Last week students brought home information about parts in the Nutcracker production and what they will need to wear with their costumes! Please visit Mrs. Richards website if you did not see the costume note.
For now encourage, your students to practice their singing with this silly practice page! https://docs.google.com/
