In this unit, students use place value understanding to round whole numbers and add and subtract within 1000. They also represent and solve two-step word problems using addition, subtraction, and multiplication and assess the reasonableness of answers.   Upcoming Events: Monday, December 9th- Reading/Homework Sheets due Wednesday, December 18th- Nutcracker Performance at St. Joseph High School Friday, December 20th- Holiday Parties, Holiday concert for grades 2 - 5, last day of school before break Nutcracker Notes: The third grade performance of the Nutcracker is coming up quickly! The two performances are on  Wednesday, December 18.  The first performance is during the day at school as an assembly for the other students. Please make sure your student has their appropriate outfit on or with them for the school day. For the evening performance, please have your student arrive at the  St. Joseph High School auditorium doors at  5:20  p.m.  with their appropriate outfit on. We will have the rest of the costume backstage. Once you get to the high school, there will be signs to tell students and parents where to go.
