Multiplication Facts
Please continue weekly multiplication fact practice from home. We started with the 0s, 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s in the first trimester, but will now continue on to 3’s and 4’s and so on. We are working on these in class, but many students will benefit from additional practice at home. Resources to use include: IXL F Skills, Flashcards, using items at home to make equal groups (for our more visual learners) examples would be: pennies, beads, popsicle sticks, etc.
Cold Weather
Now that we are getting into colder weather patterns, please check the weather so that your child has the necessary clothing--boots (when there is snow on the ground), hats, coats, and gloves/mittens--to be going out for recess. We do go out most days unless it is raining or below zero wind chills!
The third grade performance of the Nutcracker is coming up quickly! The two performances are on Wednesday, December 18. The first performance is during the day at school as an assembly for the other students. Please make sure your student has their appropriate outfit on or with them for the school day. For the evening performance, please have your student arrive at the St. Joseph High School auditorium doors at 5:20 p.m. with their appropriate outfit on. We will have the rest of the costume backstage. Once you get to the high school, there will be signs to tell students and parents where to go. Once your student has found the place to go, you may wait by the auditorium doors until the previous school has finished, then find a seat. The Lincoln performance will begin at 5:45 p.m. All performances for every elementary school are on the same night so please do not come any earlier than 5:20 to ensure you are not interrupting another performance. This performance is open to the public, so please invite anyone you’d like to come!
