Welcome to 3rd Grade!

Our Lincoln 3rd grade teachers work as a team and we are so excited to learn with you this year! Every Sunday, we will be updating this blog, and it will show as a link on Mrs. Knuth’s newsletter. In the blog, we will have information about what is coming up for the week that is specific to our grade level. If you have any questions at anytime, always feel free to email!

Included in our welcome letters was a QR Code to our Get to Know Your Form.  If you did not fill that out yet, please click on the link below and complete it before Back to School Night. This information provides us with important information about your child.  Thank you for sharing with us!

In Case you missed Ice Cream Social:

  • When you arrive, go to the playground.

  • Enter the building by the gym doors at 8:15 if your child would like to get breakfast

  • When the bell rings at 8:25, students enter through the playground/west door.

  • Parents: Make sure your child knows their after-school pick-up plan.

  • Bring a healthy snack and water bottle every day

     Upcoming Events: Monday, Sept. 16th - Back to School Night for parents (3rd Grade Meet in Media Center 6:45-7:30 PM) Tuesday, Sept. 17th - Picture Day! Wednesday, Sept 18th - Late Start Back to School Night on Sept. 16th from 6:45-7:30pm We are looking forward to seeing you at Back to School Night, for those of you that are new to Lincoln, this is a time for teachers to talk about the school year ahead, and walk you through the variety of things we are learning and doing at school. Reminder that it is encouraged that only parents attend this event. As a third grade, we will plan to meet ALL 3rd Grade parents in the media center, where we will touch on many things as a grade level. Then, we will dismiss to our classrooms after this.   Upcoming Events: Monday, March 3rd - Reading Log/Homework Sheets due, Beginning of 3rd Trimester Tuesday, March 4th - Talent Show 9:30-11am at the High School, Science Olympiad Interest Forms due! Wednesday, March 5th- LATE START Friday, March 7th - Concert at Lake Michigan College Mendel Center 9:45-10:30AM, Popcorn Friday! zoom_out_map Music Concert at Mendel Center Our 3rd and 4th graders will be heading to the Mendel Center for a special symphony concert on March 7th. Our music teachers are supporting learning around the event and will talk with students about proper etiquette at the concert. No chaperones will be allowed as there is limited seating that is pre-arranged for all three schools.  Science Olympiad Call all Scientists! Students have been hearing about an opportunity to apply to be apart of Science Olympiad from the news and their teachers.
