Back to School Night on Sept. 16th from 6:45-7:30pm

We are looking forward to seeing you at Back to School Night, for those of you that are new to Lincoln,

this is a time for teachers to talk about the school year ahead, and walk you through the variety of things

we are learning and doing at school. Reminder that it is encouraged that only parents attend this event.

As a third grade, we will plan to meet ALL 3rd Grade parents in the media center, where we will touch on

many things as a grade level. Then, we will dismiss to our classrooms after this.


Hearing and Vision Screening

Next week, the health department will be here to do hearing and vision screening. Please return the

half sheet of white paper (that was sent home on Friday), by next Thursday, Sept.12th. Otherwise, your child

will not be screened.

 

Snacks/Water Bottles

Just a reminder...please send a healthy snack for your child each day, as well as a water bottle that can be refilled throughout the day. Thank you!


Description of our First Reading Module

All of our elementary schools are piloting a new English Language Arts curriculum this year called EL Education.  We will be starting the first module/units of this program this week.  The first module uses literature and informational text to introduce students to the power of literacy and how people around the world overcome learning challenges. It is intentionally designed to encourage students to embrace a love of literacy and reading. We are excited to get started with this new program.

Wednesday, March 5th- LATE START Friday, March 7th - Concert at Lake Michigan College Mendel Center 9:45-10:30AM, Popcorn Friday! zoom_out_map Music Concert at Mendel Center Our 3rd and 4th graders will be heading to the Mendel Center for a special symphony concert on March 7th.
