A Note from Music:

Hello 3rd grade families!

I am Elizabeth Richards the Music teacher here at Lincoln school! We have started working on our beloved Nutcracker performance and I wanted to reach out about times and dates. We are about to assign roles but before we do that I wanted to reach out, if anyone will not be able to attend the Performance, Wednesday Dec 18th at 5:45. I want to encourage you that if conflicts can be avoided this is a one time performance that they have been working very hard on for many weeks in Music, PE and even in Art. I understand that some conflicts can not be avoided but I do ask that you prioritize this performance over other events that happen weekly. Please let me know by Next Week if your student will not be attending. Be on the lookout for more information to come about your students' part in the production and what they will need to wear with their costumes!

For now encourage, your students to practice their singing with this silly practice page! https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1qY12IVKnmsNSS1Mvmebfv4FMGm-PhFi28nS73Gxs51s/present (click on Mrs. Richards cartoon to access different songs!)

Halloween Party

Our parties will all take place on Thursday, October 31st  from 2:15-3:15.

The Halloween parade will begin at approximately 3:15  and will take place around the playground blacktop. If you signed up to help with the party, your 3rd grade teacher will be sending you more detailed information. As you begin planning your child's costume, keep in mind a few things:

All kids are welcome to wear costumes all day.  Parents should use good judgement on costumes, please leave the bulkier pieces of costumes at home. No weapons or look alike weapons should come to school.
